Major Gift investment Fuels programs That Build Confidence, Community, and Career Paths at HabCenter Boca Raton
BOCA RATON, FL — Adults with developmental differences in Palm Beach and Broward Counties will gain access to more paid job training, social support, and wellness programming at HabCenter Boca Raton, thanks to a generous $25,000 gift from the Stoops Family Foundation Fund at Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties.
This funding directly supports the HabCenter’s mission to empower individuals with developmental differences by providing meaningful work opportunities, life skills training, mental health services, and inclusive community experiences.
The Stoops Family Foundation, founded by Jeffrey A. Stoops and Aggie Stoops in 2013, supports causes across Florida with a strong focus on education, healthcare, social services, and opportunities for children and families. The Foundation has awarded more than $20 million in grants to nonprofits committed to lasting impact and equity.
“We are deeply grateful for the support of the Stoops Family Foundation,” said Sherry A. Henry, Chief Executive Officer of the HabCenter. “This gift will help us continue building innovative programs that empower adults with developmental differences to thrive — personally, socially, and professionally. Jeff and Aggie Stoops have demonstrated their compassion and love for the community through leadership, advocacy, and giving. HabCenter is honored to receive their support.”
For nearly five decades, HabCenter has offered individualized programming for adults with developmental differences and mental health challenges. With a 12-acre campus that includes a plant nursery, manufacturing center, life-skills classrooms, and recreation spaces, clients are supported in building both life and career pathways.
The gift from the Stoops Family Foundation will strengthen several of HabCenter’s signature programs, including:
- Vocational training through HabCo Manufacturing and HabBloom Plant Nursery

- Supported Employment connections to jobs in the broader community
