Our mission is to equip adults with special needs with the knowledge, skills and behavior needed to lead useful and productive lives, with dignity, respect and independence. Our goal is to help people in the program reach their full potential. In the past 33 years, it has helped men and women from Broward and Palm Beach counties do just that.

Clients at the Habilitation Center in Boca Raton are producing high-tech electronics and horticulture and winning awards at the same time. We supply commercial customers and 33 cities, including Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Miami Beach and Coral Gables, with flowering plants.

Programs in Art, Education, and Recreation (P.E.A.R) project.

Work Hard Play Hard. Although the Hab Center has a central focus on vocational training, work is not the only thing that drives us! The Hab Center is working to increase the wrap around services that are provided to clients.

In 2015, the Hab Center was excited to add a new element to our constellation of services called the Programs in Art, Education, and Recreation (P.E.A.R) project. Through P.E.A.R., clients have increased opportunities to engage in activities that will help them develop in the areas of:

– Socialization
– Daily living
– Self-advocacy
– Health and wellness

The P.E.A.R project provides training in the activities that increase client’s level of independence and exposes them to education, culture, art, sports and other fun activities. The goal of this project is to increase the skills of our clients with special needs so they can maximize their inherent potential.
