Boca Raton, FL (May 23, 2023) Habilitation Center for the Handicapped, Inc. (HabCenter) is thrilled to announce that the nonprofit organization was recently awarded a $100,000 grant from Impact 100 Palm Beach County at the organization’s annual awards event. This transformational grant to HabCenter will go directly to provide our HabCenter clients and the community with a new Hydroponics and Gardening Program.

HabCenter, located in Boca Raton, is a full-time day program that delivers a wide range of comprehensive, individually tailored programs and services to enable adults with special needs to maximize their potential, live fulfilling and joyful lives, and foster the opportunity to become productive, contributing members of the community. With mental and behavioral health counseling, Programs in Education, Arts, and Recreation (PEAR), high-level vocational training and development, and a supported employment program, HabCenter clients thrive.

HabCenter Boca Raton was awarded the $100,000 Impact 100 Palm Beach County grant in the Health and Wellness category. The grant will fund HabCenter clients and the community with a new Hydroponics and Gardening Program that will educate clients on how to grow their own nutritious food and expose them to fresh, healthy produce – improving their mental and physical wellness.

Impact 100 Palm Beach County is a women’s charitable organization funding local nonprofit initiatives in southern Palm Beach County.
