Boca Raton, FL (August 1, 2023) Habilitation Center for the Handicapped, Inc. (HabCenter) is excited to announce that Kingdom Charitable Trust recently awarded the Center with a $33,000 grant to support the Literacy and Education Program at HabCenter. This grant will further enhance the Programs in Education, Art and Recreation (PEAR), which serves individuals with developmental differences and mental health challenges. The PEAR Program is not only a source of community and socialization but also offers valuable exposure to new knowledge and a deeper understanding of the world. In addition, the grant will support the launch of a weekly STEAM Program tailored to each individual’s capabilities, providing education in science, technology, engineering, arts and math.
